During my portfolio review at the SCBWI conference a comment came up that my original drawing looked "Grateful Dead psychedelic". Although I have nothing against that style it wasn't really my intention. Today I revisited the Raggedy's drawing with a touch of Photoshop. I found a fun application using the HUE pallet to create a grey scale overlay that I could paint in and erase from. This approach brings more depth to the composition, as well as the story - The Wishing Stone.
