Working in metal for the first time

I recently tried a new medium out that my parents have been working in for years. My dad, who is a professional welder, showed me his techniques for wire-feed welding and plasma cutting. One of my first pieces was a little warrior character from rusted found objects. For the second piece I wanted to work with the metal more by using cleaner welds and grinding it to a polish. I really like pottery and strange teas pots - so I was looking to make something inspired along those lines. The final touch will be a cap for the top, which I hope to complete in the next week or so.
