VoleOne Mask

This latest wall mask originally came together as the third in a "Royal Family" theme, this one being the King. He began to evolve into a more colorful character than the group I had originally envisioned (Cubist Queen and Latch Prince from previous post). As I began to add the paper maché to the corrugated structure, I noticed the newsprint text from the past VolumeOne issues adding a new dimension to the mask. Words like "Music, High Five, and Local Look" began to emerge as words that this mask represented. Now titled King VoleOne, from the letters across his face, it's an homage to VolumeOne(.org) and how they have become the face of promoting the Arts in the Chippewa Valley.
