Last night I completed what I consider my best colored pencil illustration to date. For the subject matter I went to two characters from my childhood: Raggedy Ann & Andy - classic children's book characters that I haven't seen a new spin on, yet. After a little research on their history and reading a number of their classic stories I put together this composition using some of the characters I thought would be fun to draw (left to right): Timothy Turtle, Mr. Muskrat, a Pixie, Ann, The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees, and final Andy. I put them into a scene based on the story "The Wishing Stone" - which Ann has hovering in her hands. Hmmm, what DID she wish for?
